He has extensive experience acting for large and small participants in the wine industry, in relation to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, business structures, succession planning and their general commercial activities such as entering into supply, processing and distribution contracts and wine composition and labelling. He also has his own wine business.

Since becoming Chief Executive of the Winemakers’ Federation of Australia (WFA) in December 2003, Stephen has coordinated a number of critical policy and strategic issues on behalf of Australia’s wineries.
Major initiatives include securing rebates from the Wine Equalisation Tax (WET) for Australia’s regional wineries, driving the industry’s alcohol and health policy and developing environmental policy and initiatives to safeguard and promote Australian wine’s environmental credentials.
Stephen was instrumental in developing Wine Australia: Directions to 2025, the Australian wine industry’s strategic plan aimed at building widespread sustainable success within the wine sector, and more recently has taken the lead role in the Wine Restructuring Action Agenda, a major national initiative to address and resolve the wine sector’s oversupply and changed market outlook.

- Steve Guy - General Manager, Compliance & Trade, Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation
Steve has been with Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation since 2001. Following an extensive career working within some of Australia's major wine companies, Steve took up the newly created position of Compliance Manager with the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation. The major focus of that role was to protect “Wine Brand Australia” by ensuring winemakers comply with relevant legislation. His role has since been extended to include responsibility for Australia’s market access initiatives.

- Clare Raimondo - Workplace Senior Associate, Finlaysons
Clare is a Senior Associate in Finlaysons’ Workplace practice and a member of the Wine Group. She has extensive practical experience advising large and small wineries on all aspects of their workplace requirements, including contracts of employment, industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, safety issues, defence of prosecutions and workers compensation management.

- Paul Henry
- Paul Henry - General Manager, Market Development, Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation
As General Manager Market Development with the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation, Paul is responsible for the Australian wine sector’s global collaborative marketing and Wine Australia brand initiatives.
Paul commenced working with the AWBC in 2003 as Regional Manager – UK and Ireland, moving to his current role in early 2006. Paul was a member of the taskforce that delivered the industry strategy Directions to 2025 in May 2007. A notable feature of his current position has been the development of the new Wine Australia brand segmentation strategy and the Landmark Australia Tutorial. Paul was the recipient of the International 2010 Wine Communicator of the Year award. His knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Australian wine sector has been amply demonstrated through his continued involvement in industry presentations and wine show committees.
